The State Volvo buses, travelling to and fro between Mumbai and Pune, will very soon have LCD screens installed in the buses for the entertainment of passengers. The officer of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) said that "It will be the first time that LCD Screens sets will be a part of these state buses." He also said that other private bus companies show latest Bollywood films or songs on the LCD Screens.
The MSRTC officers put forward the tenders to invite companies for installation and management of these LCD screens. The officer further stated that "We plan to make money from advertisements shown on the LCD screens". There is an increasing demand for TV among the passengers of MSRTC buses seeking entertainment in the night journeys.
