An LCD TV review of sales figures in the US shows that Vizio is the top-selling brand in the US LCD TV market for the last year. The company shipped 2.9 million LCD TVs in the US during the fourth quarter alone, accounting for 27.6% of market share. That figure was a 55% increase year-on-year. Samsung cam in second with 20% of the market, and its shipments were also up year-on-year. Sony sales were down from the previous year and it only accounted for 10% of the market share. Vizio does not manufacture plasma TVs, but even when taking into account plasma TV sales into the total figures, Vizio still held the top spot on the strength of it's LCD TV sales alone. Samsung was a close second as it sells more plasmas.
